Results From the 2022 Member Survey

by Drake Fowler

We had a great response from our 2022 survey. Thank you!

The Executive Committee uses these results to shape the strategy and approach throughout the year. We thought it was important to share some of the emerging trends with you.

North Carolina ASLA has a strong membership and the demographics of that membership are ever changing, we are committed to addressing the issues that you see as most important.

Here are some of the results that we found interesting.

Celebrate National PARK(ing) Day 2022 with a Pop-Up Park in Uptown Greenville

Greenville will join the global PARK(ing) Day movement to temporarily transform spaces for cars into places for people on Friday, September 16 from 10am – 2pm. Two parking spaces on East Fifth Street between Reade and Cotanche Streets will become a pop-up mini-park featuring a hammock for relaxing, Giant Jenga and Connect Four games, and other activities. There will be discount cards to Blackbeard Coffee Roasters, and sidewalk sales at Backdoor Skate Shop and other businesses. We welcome the public to grab coffee or lunch from a local business, shop, and stop by and enjoy a little urban retreat!

President's Update: August 2022

President's Update: August 2022

by Hollie Colony, PLA, ASLA

I hope you all had a great May and are gearing up for a great summer! I’m not sure I’m entirely ready for the North Carolina heat and humidity, but I’ll just keep my sunscreen handy and my water bottle full!

May was a big month for me, not only did I get to see my parents, but I had the opportunity to finally meet many of you in person at our conference! Thank you to all our Sponsors, Exhibitors, and to each of you who attended. We can plan an event out in detail, but without your participation it can’t be a success. We would love to hear your feedback if you haven’t provided it already, please feel free to let us know your thoughts via this link .
