As a now "long time" practitioner of landscape architecture in North Carolina and working with/leading teams across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic on projects of all scales I am thankful and incredibly lucky to have the experiences and mentors available along my growth. It would be a great privilege to help ASLA/NCASLA continue with its mission of upholding the traditions and values of our founding leaders while promoting innovation, expanding the diversity of our work, and building up the next generation of Landscape Architects.
Nick is a landscape designer and emerging professional at LandDesign in Charlotte. Prior to landscape architecture, Nick began his career in transportation and environmental planning gaining experience with community impact assessments as part of the NEPA process. Wanting to continue community-based work but shift his focus to design, Nick pursued a degree in Landscape Architecture at North Carolina State University where he was able to marry his experience in high-level systems with the intentional designing of spaces. Nick served as a professional development chair of the Student ASLA chapter at NCSU and sought to re-energize the mentorship program during his term.
