The NCAT Landscape Architecture Program successfully completed the academic year on May 14:

  • We graduated 7 new BSLAs.

  • Our seniors visited 9 firms and city departments to prepare for their job searches--thank you to all the NCASLA members who graciously hosted our students (see attached picture)

  • 5 of our 7 graduates have already accepted positions at firms or started their own businesses

  • We also sent 15 underclassmen to internships across the state from Charlotte to Raliegh and across the country from San Francisco to Boston.

  • Two of our graduating seniors, Shakira Hood and Shykeem Lloyd, presented as part of an NCASLA Annual Conference session on Inclusion in the Past, Present and Future.

  • We established a long-term collaboration with our esteemed alumnus Walter Hood and the University of California, Berkeley. Together, we are organizing monthly Charles Fountain Memorial Lectures. Walter Hood kicked off the series with an inspiring and insightful lecture entitled, Hybrid Landscapes.
