Mountain Section PARK(ing) Day Volunteers Needed

The Town of Waynesville will participate in PARK(ing) Day September 17, 2021. AIA and NCASLA are seeking volunteers to steward parking spaces in three districts:
Downtown
Frog Level
Hazelwood
Teams will be responsible for design, installation and removal of their parklets. Preliminary designs must be submitted to the Town no later than Friday, August 6. Designs will be installed on September 17 and removed the following Tuesday, September 21 (pending).
The Town of Brevard may also host an event in their Downtown district. Details are pending based on interest and availability of volunteers.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Keri Dixon, AIA and state your preference for the town in which you would like to work and, in the case of Waynesville, the district in which you would like to participate.
