Virtual (PARK)ing Day

Since most of our face to face interactions have been significantly impacted, this year to celebrate (PARK)ing day, we will be hosting a parking space model design competition. You can choose either to make a physical model or a computer model to design your (PARK)ing day space or spaces (two parking spaces max). Open to NCASLA Members only.

Event is hosted by the Triangle Section, but open to all NCASLA members

Definitions:
Physical Model: Models built with materials such as but not limited to balsa wood, foam core, or cardboard.
Computer Model: Model built virtually with computer software (Sketchup, Lumion, Revit, ect.).

Rules:
1. On-street parking spaces sizes shall be the City of Raleigh standard parallel parking space dimensions for downtown Raleigh.
2. There must be at least one person in the model to help with scale.
3. Submissions should include four photographs:
a. One plan view.
b. One perspective view.
c. One aerial view.
d. One detail view.
4. Submissions shall provide a 200-word maximum description of their concept, ASLA Member Number, your chosen
submission category, and contact information via PDF.
5. The model at minimum should show the parking space design but can be larger to show context.
