The Charlotte Section will be touring Optimist Hall before it opens to the public followed by a networking event at NoDa Brewing. Members of the NCASLA Executive Committee will also be joining us for this event, so come meet them in person!
Optimist Hall is an adaptive re-use development that is helping to bridge the gap between Uptown and NoDa. The building is an 1890's mill building that is redeveloping space into office, restaurant, food hall, retail, and a brewery. Once it opens, it is anticipated to be one of the go to places in the city. This tour will allow you access to the building and site before it opens to the public.
This event will include a brief tour of the inside of Optimist Hall and then have the opportunity to walk the exterior of the site. Since the site is not complete a hard hat and vest will be required particularly while we are walking through the interior of the building. The office tenant should be leaving at the end of the day, so please use the parking lot at the end of the N. Brevard Street. We will meet under the canopy on the patio adjacent to Parkwood Avenue. Once parked, it will be clearly visible from the parking lot.
After the tour, please join us at NoDa Brewing for a networking event sponsored by Landscape Forms. If you miss the tour, please join us at NoDa Brewing (2921 N Tryon St) from 7pm-830pm.
We look forward to seeing you on May 17th!
*This event will be held rain or shine. RSVP Required for Tour. Email your name and contact information to info@ncasla.org to be added to the list.
