The North Carolina Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) will host a Landscape Architecture Site Tour of the 1.5-mile Long Branch Trail in Winston-Salem, NC on October 2, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. The new trail, which opened in 2018, provides a seamless, fully-separated urban bicycle and pedestrian path, connecting downtown Winston-Salem to the Salem Creek Greenway.
Long Branch Trail provides a stunning linear landscape that connects downtown Winston-Salem to the City’s ever-expanding greenway network and is a prime example of the power of public-private partnerships to enhance downtown Winston-Salem as well as showcase the critical role landscape architects played in the success of the project.
